ROUND TABLE „RURAL TOURISM – TENDENCY AND PROSPECTS FOR DEVELOPMENT IN MOLDOVA”
On Dec 3rd, 2009 in Orhei Hilfswerk Austria in Moldova in partnership with local council Orhei and ADR-Centru organized round table on prospects and tendency for development of rural tourism in Moldova with the participation of various persons involved in the field of tourism from 5 central regions of Moldova (owners of agro-pensions, directors of local museums, chief of raional culture division, et). The workshop was moderated by Nicolae Lupasco, chief of cathedra of tourism, University Perspectiva-INT who proposed the discussion such topics as European methodologies and techniques in practicing of rural tourism, tendencies and prospects for its development in Moldova.
The main purpose of the event was identification of problems which are most of the local tourism providers face in promotion of tourism services and use of modern tools in this sphere as well as correct approach on capitalization of cultural and social heritage of local communities. Another points discussed there the means of promotion of flux of local and foreign tourists through provision of attractiveness, economic social and cultural dimension to this sphere.
