Theoretical-practical seminar „Expanding alternative care services for children with SEN in Rezina”
Team of specialists from the Day Center for children with disabilities Heart drops” from village Pripiceni, Rezina organized seminar entitled „Expansion of alternative care services for children with special educational needs in Rezina”, implemented with the support of ERSTE Foundation. Among the invitees were Julia Weber, Desk officer Hilfswerk Austria International, Vienna, Tatiana Echim, coordinator of Hilfswerk Austria in Moldova, representatives of rehabilitation centers for children Peresecina, Tiraspol, Criuleni Hincesti from secondary correctional school Rezina, Pripiceni LPA representatives, parents of children with SEN from neighbor villages.
Participants were familiarized with the organizational structure of the Centre, services provided by multidisciplinary team, the social integration programs for Center’s beneficiaries, the support rendered for families, which undoubtedly play a major role in children’s formation and lives. During the seminar the need to broaden the range of services provided by the Centre were discussed, the purpose of extending similar support services for children with disabilities and special educational needs throughout the region, including replicating the experience of similar centers.
